Why this project gives
A Global History of Women in Art treats historical knowledge and present justice as inseparable. Recovering the artistic presences erased, misattributed or diminished by the historical record is not, in this project’s understanding, a purely archival gesture. It carries an obligation toward the conditions of women’s lives today.
For this reason, twelve percent of the project’s proceeds are donated to organisations defending women’s reproductive and civil rights worldwide.

A note on method
This is not a project that separates scholarship from commitment. The recovery of erased or misattributed artistic work, and the defence of women’s rights in the present, are understood here as two expressions of the same principle: that historical absence is not neutral, and that addressing it carries a responsibility that extends beyond the archive.
